SAN FRANCISCO—A shooting on January 9 at four men that were parked in a stolen vehicle resulted in increased police activity in the Hayes Valley neighborhood.
Yalani Chinyamurindi, 19, Harith Atchan, 21, Manuel O’Neal, 22, an David Saucier, 20, were double parked in the stolen Honda at approximately 10 p.m. Friday night, when they were ambushed and shot dead.
Witnesses who heard the gun-fire reported that more than a dozen shots were unloaded into the vehicle.
The attack, which authorities say involved as many as four guns, is believed to be the gang-related. Authorities have made it a priority to stop any potential retaliatory attacks, increasing the number of on-duty patrol cars and police motorcycles in the neighborhood.
A memorial has been put-up in honor of the young men at the sight of the shooting, and on Monday, January 12, a vigil was held by friends and family of the victims.
