HOLLYWOOD—Everyone froze in disbelief, in horror. Such a tragic night on December 8, 1980. After reality set in, everyone thought it was a misunderstanding in news reporting. Back then, there was no instant news, you simply had to wait for the news station to report it. Moods began changing from happy-go-lucky to somber darkness. Everyone seemed depressed.
That night was the night John Lennon was fatally shot. John was more than a mere image, he was in fact a music icon, bigger than life itself. He was like a true best friend. He truly influenced the world with his music. The world became shattered that night. Over the decades we still remember (while amassing the most impressive statistics for record, associated literature with all that) the Fab Four, as they became known changed.
As we enter this holiday season, he will live on with one of his classic Christmas songs “So This is Christmas,” which you will hear various times during this holiday season at parties. The holiday season seems to begin earlier with each and every year. Christmas parties that begin on December 2, is just utterly ridiculous. At least wait until the second week of December before throwing a bash.
So what will you be wearing this year? Class can never be bought. With that in mind, lets begin with hitting the gym, getting our hair trimmed in the next couple of weeks. Elegance, silver screen goddess look is always in. You can find it in dresses from Versace, Dior, Karl Lagerfield. Anything that shines and shimmers is back, think “Glamour” look. If all else fails think red or black, they are always in for the holidays.
A-List celebrities always know what to wear from Dolce & Gabbana, Rafael Lopez, Erdem and Valentino. Please don’t forget to take off the tag. It must have been a wardrobe malfunction, we can all relate to that. Jennifer Aniston looked gorgeous as usual for the screening of her new comedy, “Office Christmas Party.” She wore a black ensemble, but it seems that the 47-year-old actress forgot to take the tags off her chic Celine coat, which by the way, was clearly visible as she draped the designer piece over her shoulders to keep warm. The outfit was classy and she looked amazing in a one-shoulder Brandon Maxwell jumpsuit.
A private screening for “Office Christmas Party,” was held on December 2, at New York University, where students were invited to attend. The film is directed by Josh Gordon and Will Speck and stars Jason Bateman, Olivia Munn, T.J. Miller, Jennifer Aniston and many more. The movie unfolds when the uptight CEO sister played by Aniston threatens to shut down her brother’s branch, who is portrayed by TJ Miller who throws an epic Christmas party to land a big client and save the day.
However, the party really gets out of hand. It’s a sexy, yuletide action filled film that will probably land you on the naughty list. If you are a prude, you better not go see it. If you are an open-minded woman of 2016, then by all means go let your hair down and have a spiked eggnog after the movie. You will enjoy it, since it is filled with “ho ho hos” and “ha ha has” to keep you entertained.
Who could resist “Bad Santa 2?” Just in time for he holiday season, the film stars Billy Bob Thornton, Kathy Bates, Tony Cox and many more. Cheap whiskey, greed and hatred, Willie teams up with his angry little sidekick, Marcus, to knock over a target in Chicago for $2 million, but they’re going to need Willie’s safecracking skills to pull it off. The movie is overloaded with Christmas spirit, even throwing in a raucous Santa convention at the finale. The film is directed b Mark Waters.
Rose’s Scoop: Anyone who knows me personally, knows that I’m a huge fan of Axl Rose and Guns N’ Roses, so it is with great pleasure to announce that they have added 30 more shows on their upcoming 2017 tour. The run will kick off next summer on July 27 at The Dome in St. Louis; ironically the same city that had the infamous “Riverport Riot” which occurred in 1991. They will wrap it up at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The band had a very successful summer tour, raking in $116.8 million.
