BEVERLY HILLS—Hi, my name is “Rupert”, and I’m sure that you can tell by my short muzzle, big eyes, and curly tail, that I’m a Pug. Believe it or not, I was found wandering around in the desert in 112 degree heat. As you can imagine, I was very dehydrated and in pretty bad shape. But, as you can see, I look pretty darned good now, don’t I?
I’m about 2 years old. I get along great with other dogs, I’m very friendly and love people. Due to my short snout, I have to confess that I snort and snore. But, in my opinion, I think that makes me more loveable.
We Pugs are known to be highly intelligent, quiet (except for the snorting and snoring, that is), docile, loyal, and loving. We’re not ”yappers”, but we are good watchdogs, we’re playful, and we’re sure to keep you laughing!
I bet that you didn’t know that the Pug is one of the oldest breeds known today, did you? Well, we’re believed to have originated before 400 BC. How about that?
