NEW YORK—The nominees for the 2018 Tony Awards were unveiled on Tuesday, May 1 by Leslie Odom Jr. and Katharine McPhee. Leading all contenders were the musicals “Mean Girls” and “SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical” with a total of 12 nominations apiece including Best Musical.
Followed close behind were “Angels in America,” “The Band’s Visit” and “Rodger’s & Hammerstein’s Carousel” with 11 nominations each. “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Part 1 and Part 2” and “My Fair Lady” earned 10 nominations apiece. A partial list of this year’s nominees can be viewed below:

The 72nd Annual Tony Awards will be handed out on June 10 at 8 p.m. from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The ceremony will air live on CBS and will be hosted by singers Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban.
