HOLLYWOOD—I am really hoping the writers are just crafting a stunner of a narrative for the great John McCook aka Eric Forrester on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” He has deserved a solid story for quite some time and he is finally getting that, but I don’t want it to be his sendoff. Why? Eric F is pretty sick and it feels like it is getting worse.
At first it was arthritis, then that turned into tremors in his hands, and no with a possible diagnosis, cerebral vascular disease which is also known as TIAs or “mini-strokes.” That is bad news to hear, but what is worse: him coughing up blood. Yes, Eric has coughed up some blood recently, but has been mum on that development with Donna and RJ who are worried sick about their loved one. This fashion line is massive for Eric because he does feel like it might be his curtain call and if Donna and RJ learn about his coughing spells including blood it might be the thing that forces them to spill to Ridge and the rest of the family.
Ridge’s intuition is starting to kick in, but he hasn’t quite connected the dots to fully understand why his dad is pushing this line so adamantly. With that said, RJ is sharing his concerns with the new intern at Forrester Creations, Luna. Luna is a mysterious one, but before last week wrapped the audience discovered who Luna might be tied to in Los Angeles. Her mother, Poppy called and warned her to get out of LA before Aunt Li and Finn discover what is transpiring.
That is right; Luna is Li’s niece and Finn’s cousin. Why her mother has such an estranged relationship with her sister, I’m not sure, but I am glad we are seeing more of Finn’s family make their presence known on the soap opera. I expect more details about the family dynamic to be exposed in the coming weeks, and it is vital as I think Sheila and Deacon’s recent development will cause more havoc in Finn and now Hope’s life.
Why? Deacon could no longer contain his feelings and proposed marriage to Sheila Carter. Yes, that is right Sheila and Deacon Sharpe are engaged. Whew take that in because that is just head spinning. Sheila was hesitant, but Deacon made it clear he wants her in his life. So guess what? Both drew Finn to Il Gardiano to break the news and he was speechless. Yes, his mother is engaged to Hope’s father.
Hope is not going to be pleased with this development, and with that recent interaction between Hope and Finn, one has to question if the writers are considering pairing those two together. I really hope not, but I did get that sense. Why? Hope is questioning her decision to romance Thomas now that Taylor has made her feelings clear. She is not a fan, and Thomas is in love with Hope, Hope is NOT in love with Thomas. I could see things get even messier if a kiss or two is shared between Finn and Hope as they bond over their troubled parents.
Ridge, Brooke and the rest of those immersed in the FC fashion house were stunned by the news, but it will help people start to connect the dots on how Sheila has slivered so many times in recent months. She had help and that person was Deacon. Hmm, Liam might be proven right about Hope’s dad and I wonder if this will draw those two closer together and her further from Thomas.
