SAN FRANCISCO—On Thursday, September 5, the San Francisco Police Department announced that several suspects who stole more than $3,400 in merchandise has been arrested. The SFPD reported on August 9, at approximately 4:24 p.m., officers from the burglary unit were notified of an organized retail crime (ORC) incident that transpired at a retail store located on the 2000 block of Fillmore Street.

Investigators were advised that two suspects exited a vehicle, approached the store, and stole various merchandise before fleeing the scene in the same vehicle. A license plate was observed by the store’s security guard and with the information provided, investigators placed a felony warrant on the vehicle.

On August 10, at approximately 6:14 p.m., officers from Bayview Station received an email notification when the wanted felony vehicle drove past a Flock camera. It was determined that the vehicle was used in the theft and the FLOCK camera captured the vehicle in the area of Evans Ave heading towards 3rd Street.  A patrol sergeant canvassed the region and located the vehicle with a sole occupant in the area of Rosie Lee Lane and Espanola Street. Officers conducted a felony traffic stop on the vehicle and detained the suspect without further incident.

Through the course of the investigation, officers developed probable cause to arrest Johnetta Dixon, 31, Dixon was booked into San Francisco County Jail for the following charges in relation to the ORC incident and her outstanding out of county warrant: 490.4 (a)(1) PC- a person who acts in concert with one or more persons to steal merchandise from one or more merchant premises, 487(a) PC- Grand theft, 459Pc- burglary, 529(a) PC- falsely personates another, and 148.9 (a) PC- giving a false ID to police officers.
