SAN FRANCISCO—On Tuesday, October 8, the San Francisco Fire Department battled a one-alarm fire after receiving 911 calls and residents alerting the fire station a block away of a fire in a home on the 1200 block of Revere St.
Upon arrival units found heavy fire coming from the garage that extended to the second floor. A live power line was also found in the middle of the street and was immediately identified. Crews worked quickly to extinguish fire on the first level and then made their way to the second floor to look for people.
It was reported that two dogs were reported still inside the structure. Crews searched and found both small dogs. One was transported to a 24-hour animal hospital by SFFD ambulance and the other was deceased on scene. Red Cross was called for the five individuals who were displaced, and PG&E arrived to shut down electrical power and natural gas to the home.
