SAN FRANCISCO—On October 16, the San Francisco Police Department disclosed that a suspect involved in a Mission District murder has been arrested.
The SFPD reported on July 24, at approximately 5:41 p.m., officers from Mission Station responded to 16th and Mission Streets regarding a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid and medics arrived on scene and transported the victim to the hospital for life-threatening injuries. Despite the lifesaving efforts of the emergency responders and medical staff, the victim died at the hospital. The name of the victim and age has not yet been disclosed to the public.
The SFPD Homicide Detail is leading the investigation. Investigators developed probable cause to obtain arrest and search warrants regarding the murder.
On October 13, the SFPD Community Violence Reduction Team located and arrested Luis Rebolledo, 37, on the 600 block of Shaddick Dr. in Antioch. He was transported to San Francisco County Jail and was booked for his arrest warrant for the homicide (187(a) PC).
On October 15, the SFPD Community Violence Reduction Team located and arrested Giovanna Ramirez-Hernandez, 30, in San Francisco. She was booked for attempted extortion and other charges related to the case.
